The Growlers

Since the release of their first LP Are You In or Out? In 2009, The Growlers have forged their own twisted path on the global music scene. They're the party band that grew into a traveling circus of psychedelia that spawned their own event, Beach Goth. Lead singer Brooks Nielsen draws a particular devotion among Growlers fans, as does chief cohort Matt Taylor, The Growlers' music director and chief guitarist. Their most recent LP was 2016's City Club , produced by Julian Casablancas, which saw them expand their palette to include West African, dance, and electronic influences. The band is currently in the studio with Jonathan Rado (Foxygen) and Shawn Everett (The War On Drugs) and preparing for the Beach Goth 2018 World Tour.

Surfbort, a four-piece punk band from Brooklyn, New York made up of David Head, Alex Kilgore, Sean Powell and led by Dani Miller, channels inspiration from the 80’s punk scene to produce rousing, explosive music. Surfbort’s live experience is visceral and confrontational. Their feedback-strafed, guitar-shredding punk music says no to a digital age full of intolerance; they radiate love and friendship. All are welcome in the SURFBORT FREAK FAMILY! Fresh off a tour with The Black Lips after playing this year’s Coachella, the band just released ‘Bort to Death’ a raw 4-track 7” on Hozac Records and "Romance" a dreamy 2-track flexi on Cult Records. In the last three years they have supported acts such as The Dickies, Thee Oh Sees, Fat White Family, White Fang, Martin Rev, The Garden, Tijuana Panthers, The Mystery Lights, Tomorrows Tulips, Sunflower Bean, DIIV, GOGGS, The Dune Rats, Leftover Crack etc, Meatbodies, Ex-Cult, Hinds etc. A favorite among local artists, it is no wonder when Julian Casablancas caught wind of the Surfbort’s electrifying energy, he signed them to Cult Records. Stay tuned for more from Cult Records and the band. Vocals/ Dani Miller Guitar/ Alex Kilgore Guitar / David Head Drums / Sean Powell

The no-wave quartet Donzii has something special to offer listeners; brooding instrumentation, pungent lyrics, and a rubric of unexpected harmony and rhythm. Front woman Jenna Balfe hints of influences ranging from Siouxsie Sioux to The Stone Roses all while incorporating performance art - dance, movement, interaction - with her band scoring the show. When asked what their next song will sound like, they unanimously answer: PUDDING. Once calling the basement studios on Stanhope Street in Brooklyn home, Donzii has shifted their headquarters to a ubiquitous PUMO warehouse in Midtown Miami. Here they have amassed a small army of instruments and comrades to forge the path for their debut LP, out next year on Grey Market. Through collaboration with many musicians and engineers the group has carefully curated the sound for their next wave of material. Their first release, MINES EP, was mixed by Jorge Elbrecht, a long time friend of Balfe’s. The tracks were recorded live (in a garage) and remained untouched for over a year. Upon hearing their potential, Jorge offered to mix them and show a few friends. The infectious tracks can be heard on most major music platforms, and only a small number of first press black & blue splatter vinyl are still up for grabs.
